01 · The challenge
Two countries, manual allocation and 30,000 customer records
The manufacturer ran its US and Canadian operations on fragmented legacy processes. Stock was allocated to orders by hand, and more than 30,000 customer records made pricing and EDI rules hard to manage. It wanted one global system built on SAP’s fit-to-standard best practices.
02 · The approach
Greenfield on SAP S/4HANA 2021, fit to standard
TSP followed SAP Activate and implemented SAP S/4HANA 2021 on AWS, with supply chain, planning, reporting and asset management built in from the start.
What TSP delivered
Data rationalization
Customer master data cut from 30,000 to 7,500 records, simplifying pricing and EDI rules.
Automated allocation
Advanced ATP and backorder processing replaced manual stock allocation with automated FIFO allocation.
Supply chain and planning
EWM, PP/DS and IBP for warehouse, production and demand planning.
Global procurement
Virtual plants for Asian suppliers and dedicated plants for domestic contract manufacturers.
EDI standardization
Custom code reduced and maps standardized to cut errors with trading partners.
Reporting
SAP Analytics Cloud and Group Reporting on one set of numbers.
