UiPath test automation for SAP

Test SAP on the platform you already use for automation. TSP, a UiPath Diamond Partner, builds SAP and SuccessFactors test suites on UiPath Test Cloud, and the same components can carry your process automations.

UiPath Test Cloud, formerly UiPath Test Suite, is UiPath’s platform for designing, running and managing automated tests, including tests for SAP. The Silicon Partners (TSP), a UiPath Diamond Partner and SAP Gold Partner, builds and runs SAP and SuccessFactors test suites on it, with TSP ARIA generating the scripts and 750+ pre-built SAP tests to start from.

  • 750+Pre-built SAP test bots
  • ~70%Shorter testing timelines
  • 1,200+Intelligent automations

Testing and automation together

One platform for testing SAP and automating it

Most companies test SAP with one set of tools and automate it with another. On UiPath, both run on the same platform:

  • One skillset: the people who build your automations can build and maintain your tests.
  • Reusable components: a component that tests a sales order can also enter one, so test suites and process automations grow together.
  • Shared infrastructure and licensing: one platform to run, secure and govern.
  • Your bots tested too: regression tests check your robots and agents, as well as SAP, after every release.

See agentic automation for what the same platform does in production.

What TSP builds on UiPath

  • Abstract illustration of document sheets turning into streams of light that form an organized structure of test steps.

    Agentic test design

TSP ARIA writes scenarios and scripts from your documents, and UiPath’s AI assists in Studio.

  • Tests that heal themselves

Object-based tests adapt when SAP screens change, so a Fiori update doesn’t break the suite.

  • Orchestrated execution

Scheduling, parallel runs and execution across SIT, UAT, regression and volume testing.

  • Change impact analysis

Each SAP change analyzed to show which tests need to run, so regression follows the risk.

  • Results in SAP Cloud ALM

Results flow to Cloud ALM in real time, with nightly runs, failure alerts and daily status reports.

  • SuccessFactors coverage

150+ pre-built tests across Employee Central, Payroll, Recruiting, Onboarding, Learning, and Performance and Goals.

How we deliver

From a two-week strategy to a full regression suite

  1. Test strategy

Two weeks to set program priorities, review how you test today, check your UiPath licenses and identify the automation opportunities with the best ROI.

  2. Pilot

In 4 to 5 weeks, UiPath Test Cloud is configured, the framework and test data strategy are in place, your first five automated tests run and the ROI is defined.

  3. Expand

Over 8 to 10 weeks, more test cases are automated, the framework grows and long-term goals are set, including an agentic automation workshop.

  4. Run

From three months, the full regression suite runs on a schedule, connected to your DevOps pipeline, with a center of excellence model and your team trained.

  5. Managed testing

Ongoing execution, reporting, defect triage, script maintenance and new tests for new work, plus a roadmap for where agents can take over next.

FAQ

Questions about UiPath for SAP testing

Straight answers to what SAP leaders ask us most.

Talk to an SAP expert

Is UiPath Test Suite the same as UiPath Test Cloud?

UiPath Test Cloud is the current name for UiPath’s testing platform, which grew out of UiPath Test Suite. It covers test design, execution and management, with AI assistance built in. Existing Test Suite users don’t start over: TSP moves their tests and frameworks forward.

Can we use our existing UiPath platform for testing?

Often, yes. Testing runs on the same UiPath platform as your automations, so the infrastructure, governance and many of the skills are already in place. TSP reviews your current UiPath setup and licenses in the assessment, before recommending anything new.

Can UiPath test both SAP GUI and Fiori?

Yes. UiPath tests SAP GUI transactions and Fiori apps, as well as the integrations and non-SAP applications around them. TSP builds tests on application objects rather than screen positions, so they keep working when SAP changes a screen.

Can our test automations become process automations?

Yes, and it’s one of the main reasons to test on UiPath. A component built to test a process, such as creating a sales order, can be reused in a production automation of the same process. Teams that build both on one platform reuse work instead of building it twice.

UiPath or Tricentis?

Both work well for SAP, and TSP partners with both. UiPath suits companies already automating on UiPath, because the same platform, skills and licenses cover testing and process automation. Tricentis suits SAP-heavy landscapes that want model-based regression at scale. See the side-by-side comparison.
