Purchase requisitions updated by hand
Before automation, purchase requisitions needed extensive manual work. Employees updated details in SAP ERP by hand, uploaded supporting documents and notified stakeholders of each status change individually. The process was inefficient, error-prone and often delayed procurement.

Requisition updates that run themselves
As part of a strategic push for accuracy, compliance and operational efficiency, TSP combined UiPath robots and Document Understanding, integrated with SAP GUI, Excel and Smartsheet.
How it works
Smartsheet integration
Document Understanding machine learning models read requisition header and line-level data from Smartsheet attachments, then validate and cleanse it before it enters SAP ERP.
SAP ERP update
Purchase requisitions are created and updated automatically, with quotations and supporting documents attached from Smartsheet.
Status and notifications
Status updates flow back to Smartsheet in real time, and stakeholders get automatic emails on successful or failed transactions.
